Brenda discovered yoga while living in Minneapolis, MN and continued studying after moving to Portland, OR, where she met my teacher Casey Palmer of Near East Yoga. She completed her 200 hour training in 2010 and have done additional trainings with De West (prenatal) and Judith Lasater (restorative) as well as Matthew Sweeney and Asha Wolf. She also completed a doula (birth partner) training in 2014. In 2008, Brenda opened ecce yoga studio in downtown Fargo.

As a professional touring singer-songwriter for over 12 years, yoga helped to ground Brenda and keep her well in body, mind, and spirit. It has been a constant in her life through joy, loss, grief and change. She feels blessed and honored to hold the space at ecce and inSpirit for others to do their practice. She is also very fortunate to be life partners with her love Derek and to be the mama to their beautiful little girl, Ruby Ann.
