Sarah Nickerson

Santa Fe, NM

Movement. Mystery. Meaning.

Sarah (she/her) is a Nia Choreographer; a member of the Next Generation Training Nia Faculty; a member of Nia’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council, and a First-Degree Black Belt Nia Instructor. She received her White Belt in 2011 and was a teacher at StudioNia Santa Fe for eight years before opening inSpirit in 2021. She received her MBA from the University of Cincinnati in 2006 and worked in the non-profit arts sector for several years.

Sarah is committed to helping you live a meaningful life through the promise of Nia. Her classes promise an athletic, playful, heart-centered, powerful experience that is deeply connected to music, healing, and spirit. She believes that every BODY is meant to move in their own way and in their own time and invites all who dance with her to come as they are, authentic and whole.

In addition to her life in Nia, Sarah is in the middle of a two-year Interfaith Seminary program, sings with the Santa Fe Desert Chorale, and co-leads Hearts in Harmony: a weekly sing for those experiencing homelessness in Santa Fe at the Interfaith Community Shelter.
